Louise's Story

Hi, I'm Louise!

I have always struggled with my weight from a very young age. I was always very conscious of my weight, and my weight was always fluctuating up and down but after having my kids, I decided to give up trying to lose weight and allowed myself to continue gaining weight.

By this point I had already tried every diet you can think of. I felt hopeless and truly believed I was destined to be obese for the rest of my life. I was suffering from depression and anxiety, and at only 24 years old my weight was already affecting my physical health.

I was unable to walk for long periods of time, I had chest pain, heart palpitations, headaches, I would get dizzy often. Every day tasks where getting increasingly difficult to manage.

I finally decided that I had to lose this weight. I knew it wasn't going to happen overnight and I also knew that whatever I did to lose weight, it would need to be something I can sustain for the rest of my life. I started counting my calories, I joined the gym and started moving more.

I started eating healthier foods and making lower calorie food swaps which is when I found skinny food co and the products just made losing weight so much easier. I genuinely believe because I love what I eat, and it doesn't feel like I am on a diet that I was able to lose the weight and keep it off.

I have lost 120lbs (8 stone) and have maintained that weight since January/February 2021! I am now healthy, happy and most importantly able to be active and be around longer for my kids.

I chose The Skinny Food Co products because they are not only really low in calories, but they also taste amazing! I am able to lose weight and actually enjoy what I eat which is SO important when you are losing weight.

2. How have our products helped you?

They have helped me lose weight by making my food taste better. I LOVE what I eat. The Skinny Food Co has made it possible to eat in a calorie deficit without feeling deprived of foods I love. I have made simple swaps to The Skinny Food Co, that still taste AMAZING without the added calories.

3. What is it about our products that you love?

I love that there is such a wide variety of products! They are all really low in calories and they taste amazing! There is an option for everyone! For the majority of my weight-loss I was intolerant to milk, and a lot of lower calorie sauces contain milk, but The Skinny Food Co have SO many products available that are allergen free, so it gave me such a variety of products to choose from! There's literally a Skinny Food Co swap for all of my previous favourite foods - I love that I don't feel like I am ever missing out!

4. What is your favourite product?

My FAVOURITE products are the coffee syrups, especially salted caramel, cookie dough and French vanilla. I can't have a coffee without some skinny syrup in there now!
I also love the syrups! I have them on my French toast, my oatmeal, yoghurts, on ice cream, on rice cakes etc, they make everything taste amazing!
Another one of my favourite products are the jams. They're SO low in calories and taste better than ordinary jams in my opinion!
